  • I'm Still Here....

    Well I guess I really need to get caught back up on here again!!!

    I just got done putting together a xanga site for my Sunday School Class. I am hoping that the kids will use it as a learning tool and look back on each weeks lesson.

    I promise that I am very much keeping up with all of you who are still writing on here. Usually I sit down on my lunch break and go through all the updates.

    For those of you that are keeping up with me on the Book of Faces know that I have been playing "The Lyricist's Lounge", let me explain....Some of my friends and I have been keeping a running joke about us liking all things 1980's, so this has just been my little contribution!!!

    AND....as you might have noticed, I have been talking about a lovely girl from my past named Tina. you see, Tina was my first real crush...back in the fifth grade. To me, there was no prettier girl. She was also one of the smartest kids in our whole school. Thankfully, she and I, and several others were among the top performers academically at our school, so we spent a lot of time together :)   I so enjoyed her company, but alas, I was way too shy to ever express my feelings. (Remember, I was 10, so my um, "issues" hadn't really surfaced yet) You see, she got away. Now, fast forward a couple of decades and I have found her on the Book of Faces, and we have "talked" more in the past week than we ever did in school. She has agreed to accompany me to dinner soon. The only problem here is that she is living with a guy, and they are planning to move down close to the Ohio boarder soon.

    So why am I going through all the trouble to have dinner with a girl that I have no chance of ever winning over??? I really don't know. But I do know that it makes me feel good to know that I can still have feelings for a girl, even after twenty plus years. So who knows, there might be hope for me yet!!!

    Oh, I almost forgot!!!!

    Way back during my earliest day in Xangaland, there was a guy named Nate that was so instrumental in not only inspiring me to write, but God used him in a HUGE way to reach me! Anyways, soon after that Nate left Xanga. I am sooo happy to say that I recently found him on, you guessed it, the Book of Faces!!! We are now connected again and I got to tell him what a blessing he was in my life, at a time when I needed it most!!!

  • Hey there.... nice post...glad that you're able to feel and reconize the feelings you once had!! That's GREAT!!  Also, what song is playing on here...it's so beautiful.  Please let me know what the name is and who's it's by!  Thanks for blogging...it's an encourement for me!
