A Couple Of Interesting Things...
Hi Everyone!!!
I have lots to share, but due to time constraints I'm only going to pick a few.
First of all...WELCOME BACK LONNIE!!!!
A quick note on my car buying quest...it hasn't happened yet. The last car I mentioned, I did in fact go and see, but the dealership experience was so awful there that I couldn't stand it!!!
I read somewhere that General Motors for many years set their Durability Standards for various components to only 80000 miles, but that have upped that to around 120000 miles here lately. Unfortunately my Oldsmobile, while having been built in Oh-Four, was designed in the late Nineties, so it falls under the old standard. I passed the 80000 mark the other night, and now the car is starting to give me some concern. The Anti-lock break system and traction control keep trying to go out, very expensive fixes! The gas mileage has been really bad too. It could all be because we are in the midst of a very brutal winter, and the car just can't keep up, I don't know.
I've been praying for God to reveal some new things to me for my life. On Sunday evening my pastor approached me and asked me if I would be willing to be set aside to be looked at as a possible candidate for deacon! I feel so humbled and honored, yet so unworthy...
My friends the Fernandez's, the missionaries to Africa, should have arrived on the field this week Please whisper a prayer for their safety, and so that God can use them in a big way.
And finally, before closing, I want to introduce you to my new favorite singer, courtesy of You Tube, Mr. Nick Pitera!!!
